Over 2.5 meaning: three goals or more
Over 2.5 on a betslip means three goals or more in the match, scored by either side. Under 2.5 is the other half of the same market: two goals or fewer, which includes every 1-1, 2-0 and 0-0.
Bookmakers list it as Total goals or Over/Under, and the 2.5 line is the one most Kenyan punters use. Both sides of the line are priced close to 2.00 when a match is evenly balanced.
Turn 60% into odds and you get 1.67, the fair price of an over call at that chance; a betslip offering 1.80 pays above it.
An under pick at 60% is worth the same 1.67, so both sides of the line are read the same way.

How the goals chance is set
The goals pick uses the same expected goals as the main tip: bookmaker odds at 65% and the league table at 35%. Two sides that score 1.5 a game and concede 1.4 put over 2.5 near 55%.
Goals calls need 65% for Strong and 55% for Fair. Because over and under split the chance close to 50-50 in many games, few goals calls reach Strong.
KPL rows add a twist: with no partner line on many Kenyan games, the goals call there shows a fair price only.
The price beside each pick is the bookmaker’s over or under 2.5 line read with the match page. A KPL game without a partner line shows its fair price instead.

When under 2.5 is the better pick
Under 2.5 is the pick when both sides score little or defend well. In the KPL this season, 0-0 has been the most common score, seen seven times in the first 25 results.
Under prices run longer than over prices in high-scoring leagues, so a correct under call in the Bundesliga pays well. A 55% under pick at 2.05 implies 49%, a price longer than the chance.
A KSh 200 stake on that pick returns KSh 410. Over a run of such picks, the gap between 55% and 49% is the edge.
Under picks fit naturally with NG on the same match, because a 1-0 or a 0-0 wins both bets.

Over 2.5 wins with three goals or more in 90 minutes. A 2-1 win, a 3-0 win and a 2-2 draw all land it; 1-1 and 2-0 lose it.
